For this photogram I put bobbie pins, rings, earphones, hair, and a necklace on top of the photo paper for 15 seconds to achieve this photo. I like in this photo the smudges on it, it is from the piece of glass I put over the photo paper but I think it adds to the picture. I also moved around one ring (top right) around in the picture.

For my last studio lighting assignment, we had to use outside lighting or another source of lighting with another light. So I used the light from outside coming through the windows with a light in front of her face, so her faced wouldn't become shadowy from the outside light. I used a Nikon D3100 1/20 and F13.

To achive this picture I made the shutter speed at 15 seconds, and the aperture was f 22'. Allegra had to stand very still for 15 seconds then I ran around her with a blackberry flash light on. I made lots of weird shapes and made it very waving and swirly. The camera used was a Canon Rebel T2i.

Portrait of federico da montefeltro By Piero della Francesca
I found this picture and I was immediately drawn to the lighting of this picture. I only used one light in this picture to accomplish the shadowing by the eye, under the chin, and by the side of the nose. It was angled on about a 45 degree angle, and for it to tilt down a bit to create the shadow on his neck.

These are two photos for 2:1 ratio pictures, but just from two different angles. She has no unflattering shadows by her nose or anywhere else.  She has more light on the left then the right to help equal out the shadowing on her face. Personally my favourite picture is the first one because the shadowing gives her jaw a nice outline and the lighting also accentuates her cheek bones.

Finding the letters for my name was sometimes a challenge, the hardest letters to find was an S, K, and a J. Everything else i had to look for, but they were easier to find. Through this process i've basically learned that you can make or find something out of anything, you just have to look for it.

When I was searching for 10 artists, I found one photographer, Brian Bielmann. As soon as I saw this picture I was immediately drawn to it. I love all the lines and the composition in this picture.
